“#IStandWithNickCarter” when this man has 2 separate rape allegations against him. OK. I've seen some absolutely vile comments from fans of Nick about his accusers. Some people will support their favourite celebs no matter what. See also: Kanye West, Chris Brown and R. Kelly stans. |

Not at all defending Nick or victim shaming AT ALL-- but how can they prove Nick gave them HPV? It is the most common STI, especially among teens and younger 20-somethings. Statistically, 8 out of 10 people will have had HPV by the time they are 50.
There is no blood test or oral swabbing to check for HPV status. Generally, HPV infections clear on their own within days or weeks. For those that don't, more often than not there are no symptoms. For those strains that "stick around", women find out when they have genital warts or warts on the hands/feet (not all strains of HPV cause this) or have an abnormal pap smear.

The only way to test for HPV, in a female, is with cervical tissue samples/testing. And it only tests for certain HPV strains, those known to cause cancer, as not all "linger". A rape kit would be too soon after exposure to accurately test. |
