 Jesus wept this woman is so miserable.  I'm not sure why, but I get obsessed and enraged and horrified and even a bit terrified by her miserably unhappy face. So I Googled "Princess Charlene looking happy" and these were pretty much the happiest she looked. She's presumably at least intelligent enough to see photos and recognize that her face, especially with those wretched, despairing, smiles, attracts sometimes petty and invasive interest. So why does she keep doing it? Is it a cry for help? Revenge on Albert/Monaco Royal family? Is she so unwell physically that a desolate "smile" is the most she can manage? It just seems insane to me that they keep trotting her out looking so woebegone and hopeless.  This picture is from when they were dating. She looks a little mischievous but quite happy... and she has an arm around his pasty, naked, shoulders.  Just me? Any theories? (Just FYI - when I say 'obsessed' I don't mean that I spend random moments of my time pondering, but whenever there is a new picture, their whole story seems shrouded in mystery and even a little horror... and enquiring minds want to know.  ) |

I don't think she's unhappy with FatAl himself, (who, by all I've ever read about him is a nice, decent guy) she probably underestimated the public scrunity and the pressures of being Princess. And by now she had so much PS done that she probably can't smile anyway, my guess is that she's deeply insecure and her situation in the royal housohold is not helping that. AND - (bitter old hag) Caroline is still sure she would have been the better leader of Monaco, is still scheming behind Albert's back, she wants her oldest son to reign as the next Prince of Monaco. If Albert dies before Jacques is of age, she'll reign, which gives her the ideal position to out Jacques (Rainiers decision, I'm sure that Charlene is glad that this isn't her job to take, but Caroline's certainly a lot to deal with. Keep in mind that she's still married to human trashbag Ernst August of Hannover, because his titles make her the only royal in the family. Caroline CARES about that stuff).
Caroline is very influential and I'm certain her and her people make Charlene's life a nighmare whenever Albert isn't near to keep them from it. |

I think it’s the whole shit show combo. Fat Albert might have been interesting as a boyfriend but he’s fucking useless as a husband. Wandering eye, selfish etc.
Caroline has made it clear that she sees herself as the highest ranking female member of the royal family even if she should have been usurped from that role by Fat Albert’s marriage.
Plus there’s the ongoing shit with Albert’s bastard children and the meddlings of the mother of his eldest illegitimate son.
Plus…. Whatever the hell is going on with Charlene’s own family, who allegedly hid her passport before her wedding and forced her down the aisle.

Charlene looks good with light and dark hair. Not everyone can pull that off. Her face is quite pretty to me.
