You know, I think as a whole we have become so accustomed to looking at overweight folks on the daily, that we have forgotten what thin looks like. Kate is around 5'9 from what I just looked up. The low side of a healthy BMI is 125 pounds.

I've always heard baldness comes from the mom's side of the family but I don't know how true that is. But once the hair loss starts, not much you can do unless you want to go the toupee route, and most guys can't pull that off. I also think most guys don't want to admit it bothers them, it's an ego thing. My friend's husband did the minoxidil for a while (but it was a secret he didn't want anyone to know) but from the looks of it, he finally gave up. I worked with a guy who got hair plugs in his 20s, he wasn't balding per se, but his hair was thinning. (He on the other hand didn't keep it a secret) It looked painful, and I think it takes lots of sessions and lots of money. What surprises me even more about William was how much (I think) he resembled Diana, and I can't see that at all anymore. The current Earl Spencer has thinning hair but is a long way from being bald and his father still kept a reasonable amount of hair in his old age, as did the present Earl's maternal grandfather. I think a part of the resemblance between William and his mother in his younger years was more to do with him having very blonde hair among the darker hair of the Windsors. My looks favour my mother and my brother very strongly favours our bio-father but because I am a redhead and both Ma Kitty and my brother are very Scandi blonde people tend to initially see more of a resemblance between them than than they do with me.

ugg, those Spencer genes are nothing to write home about, either. Diana was something of a fluke as her sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes, are definitely more of the horses-and-tweed-and-pheasant-shooting type that seems common among the older generations of the aristocracy. You can certainly see Harry in Lady Sarah in this picture that I found of all three sisters together.

the baldness thing is pretty random IMO. i have three brothers, same parents, one started going bald pretty young and now keeps his hair super short - not totally shaved but close.
the middle brother has a ridiculous, gloriously thick head of hair (better hair than my sister and i which i'm sorry is just unfair and wasted on a dude) and no signs of hair loss even though he's almost 40. i think he might have some thinning at the temples at most when he gets older but i think as he goes grey he's basically going to have bill pullman's hair.
the 3rd one is 31 and not showing any signs of balding yet either but his hair is a different texture than the middle one so he might go in a different direction all together.

I think he needs to stay away from a beard, unless he wants to look like those old cousins of the Queen who were doppelgängers of George V.
I used to believe that Diana was actually James Goldsmith's daughter, but that particular conspiracy theory seems to have fallen by the wayside, and apparently her mother was in a different part of the world to him when she was conceived, so I guess I'll have to take off my tinfoil hat.

My ex was the youngest of 3 brothers and he had the typical male pattern baldness by 29 when we married. His 2 brothers were also balding by then but had a little more in the front. From the back they looked identical with the bald circle. My ex had a full head of hair from earlier pics so I'm not sure exactly when he lost his hair but it must've happened pretty quick. I know it bothered him and he wore a lot of baseball hats but he was still a nice looking guy. He was also blond so the baldness wasn't so stark. He reminded me a lot of a young William Hurt. Their mom was adopted so they didn't know about her lineage but their dad didn't start balding young like the boys. He had sort of a widow's peak and kept his hair short when I knew him but no male pattern baldness.

I'm not a fan of midi dresses (that's what that length is called?), I feel like it takes a nice dress and makes them look frumpy.
The dress itself, I like it if it were slightly above the knee. The color is beautiful and looks good on her. I also think she has nice legs

^^^^ i generally agree on midi dresses when it comes to curvier and shorter women but i think they can look awesome on the tall and willowy, and kate can definitely pull off the length. it's too bad the top part is so mumsy.

She may be heading toward having a waist the width of her forearm.
