I just checked. I tried "Green Slime" and it totally did not work. And because it's all over the inside of the rear tire, I probably will have to flat out replace the tire. One of my biggest concerns is not knowing how I punctured it in the first place. After this last effort, I feel VERY confident in fixing my own sewage pipe clogs. It is a really disgusting job, but the results has been fantastic so far. Desperation will make you learn some very useful techniques. No you need proper tyre stuff not bicycle tyre stuff Also you need the repair + not the leak finder. Does this link work for you? www.mlperformanceusa.com/products/holts-400ml-tyreweld-ht3yaI can see it - I may give it a try. I really have nothing left to lose at this point. Rave - Mrs Mo has been out at a boy scout camp site all week helping to supervise a bunch of scouts. So, she has been out in high-90's temperature with screaming kids. Including one who sleep walks and sleep talks at night. Apparently, he would wake up the adults at 3 am with this stuff and they would lose a couple hours of sleep getting him back to sleep again. His parents claim he never does it at home. Rave - We bought a couple things for Mrs Mo, and will take her out to dinner tomorrow night after she gets home, unpacks and decompresses. Rant - My company has an emergency proposal that we found out about late yesterday, kicked off this afternoon, and is due Monday afternoon. And I am right in the middle of all of it. So, it's going to be a crazy multitasking weekend.

It could also be that he does do it at home but has a different routine that doesn't necessarily wake anyone up, leaving them none the wiser. I've been known to sleep walk (although - as far as I know - it hasn't happened for a couple of years now) and my thing was to go around the house, in and out of each room as if checking it and then put myself back to bed. Ma Kitty has also been known to sleepwalk and she always knew when she'd done it because she'd wake up to all her shoes lined up in neat rows at the end of her bed. well, except for the one time when she had a dream that she and my stepdad were stuck in a snow drift so she got every spare blanket and all the coats and piled them on him in bed and the poor man woke up thinking he'd gone to hell because he was so hot lol.

Wow, those are some experiences. Yes, this is a VERY high-stress experience for first-time kids. Lots of crying and pleading to go back home. It seems like it is especially pronounced with some of the Indian kids, whose parents seem to shelter them a little more than non-Indian ones. By that I mean, a lot of their summer vacations consist of going back with their family for a month at a time to visit extended family in India. By comparison, this is very isolating. No family, no mom or dad, but friends from the troop. Our son was already young for his grade, so I think his first one-week camping trip (and without us) was at the age of 10. He said that as soon as he arrived there, there was a torrential rain that resulted in a small stream traveling through the middle of the tent he shared with his best friend. But is was one of those robust semi-permanent camp tents on wooden frames, so they did have the ability to move their stuff enough to keep it from getting drenched. When he came off the bus at the end of the week, though, he was wearing sunglasses and a raccoon cap and looked like Bill Murray at the end of "Stripes", LOL. ETA: Mrs Mo is home. She said this kid was sleep shouting/screaming. Woke up the whole troop. 6 times a night, every night he did this. She said he was not awake.

i don't know if this is a rant or a rave.
i am becoming a yarn crack head. i've been knitting a lot over the past few years, partly to help with stress but also it is a good distraction during my kids' sporting events. sometimes it is boring to sit there and wait for the game to start but it is also a way to avoid talking with annoying parents. anyway, lately i started doing test knits. i've been told i'm not 'big' enough and my insta account doesn't have enough followers to get invited to do the work with big name designers so i've been working with small, independent designers. so my latest one connected me with this yarn developer in poland. they are giving me a good discount so i can buy yarn to make this latest sweater. this guy hand dyes the yarn and told me that if i don't like any of the 40 colors he has available, he can make any other color i want. omg. these yarns are so so beautiful it was hard to pick. they should be shipped to me in a week or so.
at least i'm not one of those crazy knitting ladies (yet). i'm kind of in the closet.

notoriousmkg that sounds more like night terrors than sleepwalking. (from Google) They can be hell to deal with and you get the double whammy of not sleeping well because of the night terrors, which leads to more night terrors because of sleep deprivation. Bloke has had them since he was a kid, but it turns out that his congenital obstructive sleep apnea was playing a big part in it and since he went on to CPap treatment he's dropped from four or five times a week to maybe once or twice a month. He still has very vivid dreams but now most of them are just weird rather then terrifying.

my kid had night terrors when she was younger. it is awful. she grew out of it + shifting sleep time helped a lot too.

This kid is 10. His parents are claiming that he doesn't do it at home. Mrs Mo called her mother, who was a social worker, from the camp site. Her mom is convinced that something bad is happening in his home. Another troopmaster called the dad of a former scout. The dad is some kind of sleep specialist physician. He said that the parents need to get a hold of the situation right now because if it gets worse it could lead to seizures.

So this is interesting. I've been selected to be in a focus group. It's all day next Tuesday, and I do get paid cash for sitting there all day. And I'm quite sure it's political based on the questions. Note: I answered these questions BEFORE the Biden/Kamala announcement, so it's not a result of that.

This is a followup to my lawn tractor flat-tire thing:
After "Green Slime" didn't work out, I was watching some YouTube videos and a bunch of people kept saying buy some inexpensive inner tubes and put them inside your tires.
So, I ordered some. Then, I watched how you are supposed to replace them.
Then, I did it myself. it was pretty brutal. In order to turn a tubeless tire into an innertube one. You have to take the wheel off. Then you use a screwdriver and a hammer to detach the rubber from the wheel. This is a real drag. Followed by using MULTIPLE screwdrivers to get the tire off the wheel (so you can put an innertube in there)
Then, once you get the tire detached from the wheel, you yank out the old air stem. Then, you carefully stuff the new inner tube in there.
Then, you use multiple screwdrivers to get the tire back on the wheel/rim.
Then, you inflate. Except, I made a mistake -- I didn't have the air valve stem positioned correctly. So, after I inflated it and pulled the air pump off, the valve stem disappeared inside the wheel, like a turtle head in its shell or something.
At that point, I actually had to stab the new innertube with a screwdriver (through the valve stem hole) and pop my brand-new innertube. But luckily, I had bought two!
So, I did that crap ALL over again, but being careful with the valve stem this time. And it worked! I have a front tire with no leaks! This weekend, I'm going to do the rear tire. It's filled with that useless green slime, though, so I'm probably going to have a couple martinis before I start working on it.

Aw Mo you sound like it was such an achievement.
I bought a mitre box (been after one for ages) so I can cut my skirting (wainscoting?) at the correct angle & it arrived today. Guess what I'm doing on Saturday?

Ok, so it didn't end up being a political focus group at all, but a mock trial/jury focus group for a lawsuit. At lunch we were all saying, "Did you think this was supposed to be political?" So we ALL thought that going in. but I really enjoy mock juries, as I've done it 2 other times. Im always interested in the cases and the evidence. This was a car accident of which the plaintiff wanted 3.2 million dollars. It was a total money grab. We awarded her 75K for her medical bills, no pain and suffering. The hubby wanted 500K for compensatory damages for his pain and suffering and 'not having intimacy.' Yeah, fuck off dude.

Rave - this nightmare bid we were all working on got extended a week. that makes the work much more bearable.
Rant - our son had convinced us into putting him in an on-campus apartment rather than a dorm this year. Apparently dorms are for infants or something. And he told us it would basically be the same cost, because he was going to forego his meal plan. So, we helped him move into this swanky apartment that he is sharing with two other guys. Has a kitchen and two bathrooms. Really nice looking. Except yesterday, our son magically comes to the realization that he has an apartment but no food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Especially protein. Mrs Mo brought over some emergency supplies of protein powder, oat milk, protein bars, canned chicken breast, and some other stuff. She said he seemed kind of freaked out, so she stayed with him for an hour or so, talking him through stuff to cook.
Rave - at least, he'll finally learn to cook. Also, we will probably get him on some meal plan that will let him at least have dinner in the dining hall.
Rant - this kid is an advanced math and comp sci student. How did he not figure this out already?

Never heard of it. Sounds like a great idea. Mrs Mo had a long FaceTime session with him last night helping him cook hamburger helper. The first meal he has ever cooked on his own. What makes it harder with our son is that he comes across as really reasonable, but when he disagrees with you on something, he digs in his heels and it is virtually impossible to budge him. These are things that have cost him opportunities and he has admitted to us years later that he wished he had listened. But then, he keeps doing it. That being said, he generally has a really good head on his shoulders. Definitely better than me at that age.
