The language of the settlement was interesting since Andrew has been denying and maligning anything and everything and here he in effect says she was not, in fact, lying. Like many of you, I would have loved it to go to trial, but you know, this happened to Virginia, not to me, and she has to live with the weight of her experiences. So I hope she feels satisfied, even vindicated, by this settlement.
As far as Andy - I think you are right, Sput - especially if the Queen's health is a worry - Andrew wants this all sewn up while his #1 cheerleader is still running the firm, and still has the "private" pile of money to help him out. I wonder if she will favor Andrew in her will.

Interesting that the establishment would pay £7.5m so Andrew doesn’t have to go to court & admit to having sex with Epstein.
Also now VG has “money” are the girls that she recruited for Epstein going to go after her???

interesting but not unexpected.
i think NDAs are going to be less of a thing now, since Me Too, and that's a good thing. there's been a lot written about the role NDAs played in a lot of high profile cases, as part of the reason stories didn't get out and men were allowed to continue their behaviour unchecked for years. i also think giuffre would have gotten crucified if she'd signed one as part of the deal, and honestly, rightfully so.
