Her family are visiting her now. Sounds like it might be the end.

Yeah just read that and thought the same thing. The “remains comfortable” is def a red flag. And all the PMs etc are tweeting up a storm and they’re probably privy to information that isn’t public yet.
this is the Washington post’s take: ”The statements may have been vague on details, but the fact that they were issued at all speaks volumes. The palace typically provides minimal information about her health.”

Damn. I don't have a good feeling about this. I was wondering how much longer she had after Phillip went. In my mind if she could make it past the first year she was probably good to make it to 100 or more. But at the age she is, every damn day is a gift.
I also worry that this is just preparation for everyone because these people don't share anything that isn't vital. If they're saying anything at all, it probably means the situation is worse than presented.

The Queen is under medical supervision at Balmoral after doctors became concerned for her health, Buckingham Palace says. "Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision," they said in a statement. "The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral." Her immediate family has been informed. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-62836057This doesn't sound good.

I saw the news on CNN and went to the old board as I had many times recently only to finally realize there was a new board. So glad I found it. I knew you all would have the most up to date information and even though I'm American with no particular interest or attachment to the Royals I feel like my Granny is dying or something! Also, it is nice to see familiar names in here!

The BBC news presenter here is wearing a black tie, which usually only means one thing.

Thanks Sarzy! Me too.
Please bear with me while I figure out the new board.
Oddly, when I saw the photos of the Queen greeting Liz Truss I was encouraged that she was holding strong. I didn't even notice the bruising on her hands. I guess when the end comes, it can come quickly.
Incidentally, I recently found the VHS of Diana and Charles' wedding that my mother taped for me while I was at Girl Scout camp. The times they are a changing.

CNN just reported that both Harry and William are en route to be with her so that is a bit of a relief bc I was concerned Harry might be left out.

It truly is a deathwatch, now. BBC I programming has changed and is constantly showing the gates of Balmoral. Some commentators are already speaking in past tense, oy. And all relatives are on their way to Balmoral. Enough said.

Yeah, this sounds like the end, since they actually released a statement and the family is on the way. It's a good thing Harry was already in the UK.

This makes me sad. I actually thought that she would outlive Charles.
