The Duchess of Cambridge swapped her heels for trainers as she visited Twickenham Stadium today for her first engagement as patron of England Rugby after taking over the role from Prince Harry. Dressed in England Rugby drill pants and an official jumper, Kate, 40, appeared in excellent spirits as she arrived at the west London stadium to meet England players, coaches and referees. The Duchess was this morning announced as the new Patron of the Rugby Football League and the Rugby Football Union, roles previously held by her brother-in-law the Duke of Sussex. He was stripped of all patronages and honorary military titles following his and wife Meghan's decision to quit as senior working royals. Kate, an avid sports fan, is the first royal to be given one of Harry's former patronages by the Queen. She doesn't even look like herself here. She really doesn't. I was guessing who this was supposed to be and then I got to the text. Would not have recognized her. The girl on the left has a normal build and Kate is just about half her size! EAT SOMETHING!!!! |

She always looks the most relaxed and comfortable in any type of sporting situation. She also looks the most attractive at sporting events. Her hair in a thick, glossy, ponytail, minimal makeup (avoiding the harsher look of too-heavy-foundation, blush, & eye makeup) and she's in movement, which I think she prefers to sitting and/or speaking occasions. I think Kate is beautiful, but the past 15-20 years of keeping a tight rein on, well... everything has taken its toll on her face.
As far as the portrait photographs, I feel like they photo-shopped everything too long. Her face isn't that narrow and neither is the rest of her. She's thin, not narrow. Honestly, they gave her a bit of a horse face.
