Not fond of all the hard edges, but then I'm an old biddy who likes cozy and has a lot of vintage furniture from family. There are some fun colors and interesting art, I'm tired of white everything.

Yeah I’m not a fan of any space that is ALL one style, it just looks like a showroom or a hotel but I like individual pieces. And that’s why the apartment in the original post is so successful, it marries different styles and eras seamlessly. karl’s other apartments and houses are more of a blend. I went down a rabbit hole after he died and his stuff from different properties got auctioned off and it was all online and I spent hours looking through it. Everything from art to furniture to clothes, different eras and styles and aesthetics. He was like an archivist/collector.

I love places that are a big mix, too. I am going to go look up Karl's houses. He looks pretty young in that pic, so I'm sure his taste evolved. I know mine has but I would have thought it was a trip to live in that lego-like house back in the day. I'd still think it was a trip, but it would probably feel less and less practical as the days went on and I'd want to see something more.
