Mass Shooting in Highland Park, IL at 4th of July parade

Fuck that guy. I hope he never sees the light of day again.

I wish they could hold parents more accountable... and those that sell guns too.

I was in downtown Highland Park for dinner last night. It was a month past the shooting -- although I didn't realize that until I was driving home. There's a makeshift memorial downtown. Quite a few people visiting. Someone was playing guitar. I don't know if that's typical or it was because it happened a month ago that day. There are Highland Park Strong signs everywhere. It was weird being on the street where such a tragedy occurred. I kept thinking about the pictures of the aftermath with all the chairs and strollers abandoned along the parade route. There were quite a few people out and about and the downtown restaurants were busy. Life goes on... as it should.
