She filmed a Christmas movie for Netflix, which apparently went smoothly enough that they signed her for more. I don't know if she's completely clean but these are the first positive steps she's made with her career in years. I hope things go well for her.

I think it's a reversed/mirror image, but I think it's a common practice for Middle Eastern/Arab women to wear the engagement ring on their left hand, so it could be either. I see some evidence of Photoshop in the smoothing of her face, but she's also been photoshopped before and still looked way more drugged out and messy. There is some form of progress even in how she wants to be presented to the world. She's not swaying back and forth or dancing naked in her foyer with a dog and she's not churning out pages of manic ramblings and she's also not accusing the fiance of taking meth or being a pedo so she's ahead of the game in those regards. I guess. So far. And so far he's not giving me the creeps. He looks normal. I guess we'll just see. In her own way, she really did walk away (of flee?) from the public eye so it would be nice to think she put in some work in improving herself and not just her bank account. I think I just want a happy ending to something in this world, even if it is Lindsay Lohan. lol beeyotch I agree about Dubai. It's one thing to go there on vacation (which is another issue all on its own), but another to live there, especially as a woman. I just thought about this right now, but what if that's what she likes about being there? She has rules and structure she has to follow. But if she steps out of line, she might have a safety net in the form of the fiance and his family. On one hand, this is where all the money is if you're hoping to catch a rich guy (though this guy is supposedly only worth about $4m which is astronomical to me, but piddly in the world of wealth, but I assume he probably has inheritance of some sort), but she also does seem to have some sort of interest in this part of the world because she's been there long enough. I hope she's careful. edit - mel I forgot about the Christmas movie! I thought that was odd.

I always think of them as her pimps, and in every movie or TV show I've ever seen, the pimp always has a fucked up strong hold on his/her ho. All that to mean I wouldn't be surprised if she is still holding up her family financially.

Thanks I've only seen it on Polish/eastern Europeans. Also in Switzerland, Italy and Spain I think USA and UK are some of the only countries where you have your engagement ring and your wedding ring on the right hand; in most other countries if you wear your engagement ring on the left hand, you will wear your wedding band on the right hand. And then again, who cares, right? Wear a ring or don't. I wear mine where it fits best.

I always assume it's down to Apple phones reversing all images. It's annoying and I've never understood why they keep that feature, surely it's easy to fix? But you know, I can't honestly believe anything good comes from someone like Lohan going to Dubai. Obviously she was chasing money rich sugar daddies (johns I assume) and avoiding the nosy American tabloid gaze, with the end goal of a rich husband. But knowing how merciless and barbaric their laws and attitudes are toward women in general and drugs in particular...I mean, a tiger cannot change its stripes and I doubt a Lohan can change her freckles. I doubt she's completely clean so I cannot picture a happy ending there for her. ^^^ I had the same thought. At the same time I guess it really depends, I don’t know how westernised this guy is. I’ve never been to Dubai but know lots of people who live/have lived there and a lot of life there, even for rich locals, is really an expat bubble. If they have kids though it’s definitely a different story because then she’ll be fully subject to local laws and basically lose any right to her kids or any support if she leaves the marriage and will be entirely at his mercy.

And then again, who cares, right? Wear a ring or don't. I wear mine where it fits best. In the UK if you wore your wedding ring on your right hand it meant you were widowed. "Of course in many countries today it is quite normal for the wedding ring to be worn on the right hand. People in Austria, Latvia, Russia, Norway, Poland, and parts of Spain and Portugal all wear wedding rings on the right hand! Reasons for this tradition vary from country to country." ""Today, wedding rings are most commonly worn on the fourth finger of the left hand. But some countries including India, Germany, Spain, Norway, and Russia traditionally wear their wedding rings on their right hand." Overall, it seems cultural traditions and norms set the standard for this custom."

I wear my wedding ring on my right hand and I have no idea why, nor did I know that it has a meaning. Yeah, I was born to be a wife.
EDIT: I looked it up and in Germany, Austria and quite some other countries in europe the ring is worn on the right hand.
