I can't stop listening to The Heart Part 5 by Kendrick Lamar. The video has some really unsettling deep fake in it, but it's beautiful.

As a lifelong fan who was never able to see Captain Beefheart live, because he'd retired due to MS, I treasure the fact that youtube has given us so much in the way of live concert footage. I played the album that this song was on for my husband, a week after we met and he's still with me! I hope you enjoy it! I have a bittersweet story of what happened years ago in my home town. It was the week of the Reading Festival, 1973-or 1974. Three young men, in their late teens, died in a terrible road accident on their way from South Wales to the festival. Not only did Captain Beefheart contact the families of the lads who died, but he also attended their funerals and visited their families afterwards. I notice from his Facebook page that so many people have said that he was one of the nicest people they'd ever met, and also his wife. His music tends to stretch from the most bizarre bluesy-jazz fusion all the way to beautiful love songs! His lyrics were often right off the wall, in the best way possible! He was one of a kind!

I had never heard any of his music, thank you for sharing that!

I had never heard any of his music, thank you for sharing that! I'll just leave you a taster of two different 'faces' of the Captain's music. The first is a hard bluesy-jazz type and the second is a soft love song.

I'm watching Paul McCartney's Glastonbury set from last weekend. When he walked on stage in his Beatles' jacket and went straight into 'Can't Buy Me Love', I'm not ashamed to say that I burst into tears of utter joy!

Looks so tight or...... just different (and not because he's 80).

I wasn't looking at his face, I was just too thrilled by the jacket, the Beatles song and the fact that he graced us with his presence! I believe that you are right about his face. He looks no different to the way he did when I watched A Hard Day's Night!
