I was video conferencing with our daughter, so I was only half watching tonight's episode. But tonight there was another blindside. This one was completely confusing to me. There was a kind of annoying, melodramatic contestant who it looked like everybody was going to vote out. But instead, they voted out someone who seemed totally the opposite. During the credits, you could see that every single person voted against her instead of the annoying person. I am totally confused.

OK, I thought maybe I missed something, because I was confused as well. But apparently editing left out a chunk! They've been doing that a lot the past few seasons & it's pretty annoying. Hopefully next week they'll show/tell us how it came to be Helen getting voted out. Carolyn is so freaking annoying. She needs to calm the hell down. I was surprised she didn't flip the hell out when that snake was right there! She handled that way better than I would have, & definitely way better than I would have expected her to. That would have been a time to acceptably flip out.

^Do yourself a favour, try and watch Australian Survivor if you can - this season has not had a bad episode, and it's closer to the original US format (I think it goes for about 45 days) but there are 3 episodes a week so prepare to give up time with family and friends, unless you can get them hooked along with you. I'm in the US. I wonder if I can find it on Paramount+ ?

For the life of me, I can't figure out how she is still there and Helen is gone. Helen must have really bad BO or pooped in the campfire or something.

@nortoriousmkg - I cannot get into this season of Survivor for some reason. How about you? It's been good with the blindsides & fake idols, but for some reason I'm not into it like I usually am. IDK what's missing, or maybe it's just me.

IDK what's missing, or maybe it's just me. Once I get in the habit of watching a show, I can usually stick with it. So, I think I will watch this just out of habit. However, my biggest problem with this season are the fanboy contestants. Particularly, Carson. These are people who have seen so many shows that they have actually memorized all the challenges by setting them up and working them in their back yards. I find that kind of nauseating. I also was bummed for the tribe who lost the guy just because he bumped his head so hard he had to leave the show. It left their tribe at a huge physical disadvantage. I almost feel like they should have "alternate juror" type contestants on standby for things like that. I am missing pieces of the show because I'm working on other stuff at night. I saw Claire got kicked off. From what I heard at the tribal council, she had sat out every challenge. Was that by choice or some kind of quirk? If it was by choice, it was really horrible strategy on her part.

I think she sat out because she didn't want to ever have the pressure of potentially being "the reason" her tribe lost a challenge.

So, I hope this isn't a spoiler, but last night, Sarah was voted off. Obviously, Carolyn had some kind of problem being told what to do by Yam Yam. However, I can't see why she didn't just go for Yam Yam himself. As far as I know, he doesn't have an immunity idol. And now Yam Yam is going to go back to the camp site knowing that Josh knows he voted against him. I think it's too early for him to be saved by a merge, but in the next challenges they will have 3 contestants against maybe as many as 5 on the other tribes.
I also wanted to mention I've had it with Carolyn's eyerolling no matter WHO seems to be talking - Yam Yam, Josh, Sarah. Like everyone is exasperating and beneath her.

I did have to laugh when she said "I'm Felicia!" I really didn't like her the first few episodes, but now I'm kind of on the fence with her. I can't say too much about the eyerolling because I'm sooo bad about doing the same thing. My eyes got me in as much trouble as my mouth, because even if I didn't say it with words, my face sure said it all!

I just had to say, I was beyond irritated by how many people (including Matthew himself) commented about how badly he wanted to be there and how long he had trained to be there but NO ONE mentioned how if he wanted to be there so badly he would NOT HAVE BEEN CLIMBING JAGGED SEA ROCKS?? He trained so hard but failed to study RISK ASSESSMENT??

So, they voted off Frannie. She took it just the way I would if I had made it onto the show. She was like "I learned so many things about myself! Just happy to be here!" I would be content to be on there long enough to see how it works, starve a little, be documented on TV, and then get back to work before I use up all my PTO.
I think last week they kicked out Kaine. The funny part was that in the middle of the episode he said something like, "I'm finally figuring out this game and am ready to be a power competitor." That's ALWAYS a bad sign when someone says it on Survivor....
